Asana
A collection of my work at Asana
My time at Asana has been crucial to my growth as a Product Designer. Thus, it's hard for me to showcase just one project. Below is a collection of my work. Some are projects that have been shipped and some have never seen the light of day. Both have made me into the designer I am today.
Role
Senior Product Designer
Duration
2020-2022 (Full-time)
2023 (Contract)
Teams
Payment Platform, Pricing & Packaging, Licensing, Identity
2020 • Identity • Shipped
Two-factor Authentication (2FA)
A web & mobile experience that promotes security for an org and empowers users to configure 2FA for their account while granting admins the ability to require and reset 2FA for their org as needed.
Within the first month of release, ~500 users enabled 2FA for their account. Over the year, that number turned into ~26k. We saw that more paid users (65%) enabled 2FA than free users (35%), probably because it had been required by their admin.
2020 • Licensing • Informed other projects
Licensing vision
A combined effort from the Licensing team to build a vision to create fair value pricing.
While we weren't able to move forward with this work, it has still informed other team projects. The vision continues to be a reference we use to guide our work in the Pay team.
2022 • Payment Platform • Shipped
Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA)
A web experience that allows EU-based customers to conveniently purchase an Asana plan through their bank account. Prior to SEPA, users were limited to paying with credit card, PayPal, or a manual invoice.
This project contributed 1.2M in ARR. While we saw new EU customers embrace SEPA on our checkout page, we also noticed existing EU customers shifting from using Paypal to SEPA. This saved money in PayPal fees for Asana.
2022 • Payment Platform • Pending ship
Incentives
A web experience that would allow teams to create incentives using our internal payment tool and customers to apply incentives to their Asana plan. I ran discovery for this project and led a cross functional visioning activity before I left.
2021 • Pricing & Packaging • Informed other projects
Multi-product Asana (MPA)
Multi-product Asana (MPA) was a company wide initiative to explore the possibility of selling Asana as multiple products. Though this work didn't progress, I created an end to end billing user journey that is referenced to this day by many teams in the Adoption area. I also worked with PM and Eng leads to run a competitive analysis and build a future vision for multiple product offerings in Asana.
Nice! Thanks for taking a look. Interested in working together? Send me an email.
